David Tixier Trio

What is it about?

• 2 sticks, 4 strings and 88 keys forming a jazz trio which is everything but ordinary.

• We compose our music with the most care as possible in order to reach the heart of the audience and to make people travel through the music.

• Our music describes strong emotions, dynamics, depth, and a symbiotic listening among the three musicians.

Why should You support this project?

1. We’ve been playing so far around 15 concerts in less than 8 months, beside others at the RTS, Swiss national radio, in Paris at the «38 rue de Riv’» jazz club, at the «ONO» Jazz club in Bern, at the Wine Note in Strasbourg, twice at the «Jazz En Ville» Festival 2016, in France, or at the «Montreux Meets Brienz» in Brienz, Switzerland.
2. In 2017 so far we are booked in Rome, Italy, in Ostrava, Czech Republic, in Bordeaux, France, in Basel, Switzerland, and at the Cully Jazz Festival 2017, at Cully, Switzerland.
3. All this proves our determination to move forward with the project and concretize the need to record our first album. This is the reason why you could support us if our cause means something to you.
4. We are pretty much active since creation of the trio and we proved it by being finalists of the Jazz competition of the «Jazz En Ville Festival 2016», in Vannes, France, and the finalists of the «Jazz Avenir» contest in Mont-Saint-Michel’s Bay, France. For the semi-finals selections of the International Jazz Orchestra Prices 2016 offered by the Matmut, the David Tixier Trio was selected with 15 other bands, chosen in a list of 403 international applying groups.
