Soë Blue - that's me
My name is Soë Blue and I’m a singer-songwriter from Zurich, Switzerland. If I had to describe me and my voice briefly, it would be as follows: powerful, deep soul voice, positive-thinking, diverse music styles such as funk, soul, pop, R&B.
Music - it inspires me every day. Melodies, lyrics and rhythms continue to touch and motivate me. Music is a huge part of my life and I’m allowed to be a small part of the big wide music world.
Even whilst in my Mum’s belly, I was part of the Simply Red concert at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Not only the annual visits to Montreux have shaped my path musically, but also our home, which has been and still is filled with music all the time. Songs like «Respect» by Aretha Franklin, «How Come You Don’t Call Me» by Prince or «Right To Be Wrong» by Joss Stone as well as other artists such as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, AC/DC are part of our everyday lives. So many icons but also many small, important gems like Selah Sue, Allen Stone or Seven.
Three years ago I’ve never thought I’d ever write a song, let alone one I liked. Today I’ve already written over 15 songs (and hundreds of song fragments are on hold).
Choosing five songs for my first EP was anything but easy!
What I need
At last, I’ve made my selection and the songs are ready. I’ve already had my first meeting with the producers, the pre-production is in full swing and we will start the production in about one month!
By engaging professional studio musicians, I want to take my songs to the next level. In addition, there are costs for the studio rent, as well as the recording. After that, we will continue with the mastering, CD pressing, shooting of the music videos, as well as the album promotion. But that’s not all - I also want to present the songs to you live! I’m already visiting some locations for the record release party and if everything goes as planned, it will be at the end of 2019.
With your support, I can finally realise my dream project, along with all its subtleties (e.g. brassl-section, small gospel choir, etc.) and let you enjoy my songs soon!
