Bonjour à tou.x.t.e.s! Nouvelle projection du film «Elles les (in)visibles» jeudi 3 mars, à 18h15 (ouverture des portes à 17h30) à l’IHEID, Graduate institute Geneva, Maison de la paix, Rue Eugène-Rigot 2, Genève – Petal 2 dans l’auditorium principal A1.

Le film sera suivi d’un panel et Q&A avec Maevia Griffiths (réalisatrice et ancienne élève de la Graduate Institute Genève (IHEID)), Professeur Riccardo Bocco (Professeur d’anthropologie et de sociologie de l’IHEID) et Dalia Zein (doctorante et assistante d’enseignement au Département d’anthropologie et de sociologie de l’IHEID) et modéré par Dr Victor Santos Rodriguez (professeur invité, Département des relations internationales/sciences politiques de l’IHEID).

New film screening of «Elles les (in)visibles» Thursday 3rd of March, at 18:15 (Doors open at 17:30) at The Graduate Institute Geneva, Maison de la paix, Rue Eugène-Rigot 2, Geneva - in Petal 2 in the main auditorium A1.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Maevia Griffiths (film director and alumnus of the Graduate Institute Geneva (IHEID)), Professor Riccardo Bocco (Professor in Anthropology and Sociology Faculty Associate IHEID) and Dalia Zein (PhD candidate and teaching assistant at the Department of Anthropology and Sociology IHEID) and moderated by Dr. Victor Santos Rodriguez (visiting Lecturer, International Relations/Political Science Department IHEID).

Cher.e.s ami.e.s, c’est avec grande joie que je vous invite à la première de notre film documentaire Elles, les (in)visibles! Grâce à votre soutien, nous avons réussis à finaliser ce beau projet! Le film est à la post-production son et image en ce moment-même, et nous avons le bonheur de pouvoir faire la première le dimanche 27 Juin au cinéma du Grütli à Genève à 14h dans le cadre du Festival International du Film Oriental de Geneve (FIFOG). Au vu des conditions sanitaires, la jauge sera de 100 personnes et certains billets pourront être achetés en ligne et d’autres sur place (15chf). Dans tous les cas, je vais également organiser une seconde projection en juillet dans un cinéma à Genève pour celles et ceux qui ne peuvent pas venir le 27 juin.

Dear friends, it is with great joy that I invite you to the premiere of our documentary film Elles, les (in)visibles! Thanks to your support, we have managed to finalise this beautiful project! The film is currently in post-production, and we have the pleasure of having the premier on Sunday 27th June at the Cinema du Grütli in Geneva at 2pm as part of the Geneva International Oriental Film Festival (FIFOG). Due to sanitary conditions, the capacity will be of 100 people and you will be able to buy some tickets online and others on the spot at the entrance (15chf). In any case, I will also organise a second screening in July in a cinema in Geneva for those who cannot come on June 27th.

Bonjour à touxtes! Voici quelques nouvelles du projet. Je viens de terminer le montage, une période très intense en travail. Et il y a deux semaines, j’ai eu le grand bonheur de montrer le film aux femmes participantes du projet. C’était un moment fort, plein d’émotions - elles se rencontraient pour la première fois. Nous nous sommes retrouvées autour de ce film qui racontait leurs histoires ; on a pleuré, on a rigolé et elles se sont senties unies dans leurs forces, leurs défis et leurs parcours de vie. Un très beau moment, où elles m’ont également confirmé qu’elles validaient la manière dont j’avais raconté l’histoire. J’ai donc envoyé le montage à Dorian pour la composition de la bande son et le mixage final, à Moise qui collabore sur la bande son, à Mehdi qui fera l’étalonnage (couleur de l’image) à Marie qui termine ses superbes animations et à Luc le chef opérateur qui continue à me soutenir sur ce projet. Nous sommes touxtes si heureu.x.ses de voir ce projet prendre forme et se concrétiser grâce à votre soutien. Merci encore du fond du cœur ! Une autre bonne nouvelle, la première du film se fera pour sûr au Festival du Film Oriental de Genève (FIFOG) entre le 21-27 juin à Genève. Dear all, Here are some news about the project. I have just finished the editing, a very intense period of work. Two weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of showing the film to the women participating in the project. It was a powerful moment, full of emotions - they were meeting for the first time. We gathered around this film that told their stories; we cried, we laughed and they felt united in their strengths, their challenges and their life paths. It was a beautiful moment, and they also confirmed that they agreed with the way I had told the story. I then sent the editing to Dorian for the composition of the soundtrack and the final mix, to Moïse who collaborates on the soundtrack, to Mehdi who will do the color grading (color of the image) to Marie who is finishing her beautiful animations and to Luc the chief operator who continues to support me on this project. We are all so happy to see this project take shape and become a reality thanks to your support. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! Another good news, the premiere of the film will be for sure at the Festival du Film Oriental de Genève (FIFOG) between June 21-27 in Geneva. I’m waiting for more details about the date and time and I’ll keep you posted. Tuesday evening, February 23rd, thanks to the collaboration of Wemakeit and Rouge Fm, I had the chance to be on the radio to talk about our documentary film project! Hope you enjoy it!

We still have 20 days to reach our extended goal of 10’000 CHF! Your incredible support and solidarity never ceases to move us and motivate us to carry out this project in the name of this subject that is so important to our hearts! THANK YOU!

Grâce à vous, nous avons atteint notre premier objectif !!! Thanks to you we have reached our first goal!!! A huge thank you to all of you for your incredible support, the wave of solidarity around this theme, the sharing and your so encouraging feedback! We are so grateful! We still have 26 more days of campaigning and we hope to reach our new objective of 10’000 CHF to help us with the post-production such as the colour grading and then the diffusion of the film in different cultural places, events, festivals etc.
