This is what it's all about.

In an old school building in Kröschenbrunnen in the Emmental, EAR (Environmental Artistic Research) is creating a place where ideas are found, developed, prototyped and tested that could be the key to avoiding a man-made environmental catastrophe. The climate crisis continues to escalate and will be a major concern in the coming decades. That is why we need our research, experiments and the debate on how cities and rural areas can deal with it together.

My project is special because ...

EAR is a laboratory for ecological, artistic and scientific challenges and explores the questions of our time using traditional and transdisciplinary methods.

We bring together scientists, artists and experts (including agricultural experts) from different generations and fields to work together with committed non-professionals on future-oriented research projects.

We are certain that more can be achieved by bringing them together in one place with their diverse perspectives. The in-depth exchange promotes mutual understanding, creates new food for thought and invites people to engage with a wide variety of positions.

This is what I need backing for.

With your support, you are funding the organization of various research projects for a better future. It’s worth it, whether you want to participate in one of the projects yourself, be part of a beer brewing session or simply enjoy some great country air with maximum relaxation potential for a while.

In 2024 we want to make 4 research projects possible. Step by step, we are working our way towards this goal through crowdfunding. The crowdfunding will take place in three stages and is planned as follows

❤️ 8000 CHF: 1 research project

-> Solar-powered resource-oriented toilet with greenhouse with Michel Riechmann, among others, based on permaculture with the expertise of VaLoo and Vuna EAWAG

❤️ CHF 16,000: 2 research projects - land needs art or art needs fertilizer

-> Art and nature culture program with Jope Schneider and Marcial Koch and in collaboration with the association in Trubschachen with Mira Gysi, Jasmin Wüthrich and Eric Satzer

❤️ CHF 32,000: 4 research projects

-> Conversion to a passive energy house with schoolyard store and exhibition room

-> Kitchen laboratory for organic experiments of all kinds that get down to the nitty gritty

New rewards await you every week, so forgive us if we hit you up particularly often during these 30 days - but the world needs EAR!

Thank you for sharing this project with your friends and acquaintances. The more people we can reach, the more we can make possible. For you, for EAR, for a better future!

PS: Do you think our project is particularly worth supporting? Contact us by e-mail if you would like to support us with larger amounts or in the longer term.
