Exotic flavour

We are a young couple who has been living in Geneva from 5 years now. We discovered the unique flavor of the exotic fruits from Madagascar.

During our travel there, we have been impressed by the passion of the local laborers for their work which gives birth to a product of exceptional taste.

Our concept is to promote exotic fruits from Madagascar by distributing them in various point of sale all across the Switzerland, by developing a Bio label and a fair trade label.

Why support our project?

It is to make discover the taste quality of organic fruits of Madagascar throughout Switzerland.

This fund raising will allow us to create our Geneva-based company for the summer of 2017 to:

• Firstly buy exotic fruits from producers at a fair price (litchis, mango, pineapple, papaya, pomegranate);
• Secondly distribute exotic organic fruits from Madagascar to local shops, markets, fruit and organic grocery stores in Switzerland);
• Thirdly develop a label to promote fair trade when purchasing fruits from producers;
• Lastly develop an organic label ensuring the origin of the products and a 100% natural culture (without the addition of chemicals).

Our objectives

To promote these exotic fruits (litchis, mangoes, pineapples, papayas and pomegranates) by distributing them in different points of sale throughout Switzerland.

Our project is part of an economic and social framework in so far as the aim is to enable fruit producers to improve their living conditions, to increase the size of their plantations and to increase their productivity.

Partnership

Already in partnership with STOI, we have chosen it because it has constantly developed projects to improve the agricultural methods of the small producers of the country (example: partnership with the HELVETAS Swiss Intercoorporation association in order to rehabilitate the White bean sector).

Madagascar

Despite all its natural resources, Madagascar is affected by global warming and remains one of the poorest countries on the planet with 80% of its population living on less than 1 USD a day.

Healthy fruits

Many studies show that the regular consumption of natural fruits is a solution to fight effectively against cardiovascular diseases and cancers (which are the leading causes of death in Switzerland).
