Farming in La Gomera

It’s completely unexpected… I never imagined this project could go this far, and yet, here we are. Thanks to you, the land is being transformed, nature is reclaiming its place, and this adventure is growing in ways I never dared to dream at the start. ❤️

For this final milestone, the idea is to care for a zone that hadn’t yet been included in the project. It’s located in the buildable part of the land, and I would love to create a small oasis for local biodiversity by planting adapted species, endemic plants, resistant fruit trees, flowers, and shrubs. Everything that can support life, protect the soil, and attract birds and insects. 🐦‍⬛🦋

In this area, I also want to build a simple barn that will serve as a workspace, storage, and processing area. It would include a closed water tank, built directly inside, to improve the water collection system for the upcoming dry seasons.🐚 And to build a winter garden to make seedlings all year round and grow more and more plants. 🌱

Every additional donation will help me go even further, strengthen this project with even more care, and continue to take concrete action for this piece of land and everything it shelters. 🌳

Pour aller encore plus loin, j’ouvre un deuxième palier à 21 000 CHF, pour redonner vie à une petite ruine qui se trouve en bas du terrain.

L’idée : la rénover, lui redonner son utilité d’origine et l’aménager simplement pour en faire un lieu de stockage pour les plantes, les graines et le matériel. Un espace abrité, qui permettrait de garder tout ce qui est précieux à l’abri de l’humidité, du soleil et des animaux.

Cette semaine, j’ai eu la joie de récolter quelques figues d’un arbre déjà présent. Avec un peu de soin et d’attention, il a pu donner ses premiers fruits !💖
