FIREWATER
An environmental multimedia installation for ART Basel 2014, by Stephan Theurich
Situated beside Theater Basel in the heart of the city, Fire/Water transforms the plaza's iconic glass pyramids into a swirl of haunting sound and imagery. Kaleidoscopic video of the two contrasting elements washes over the structures, even as compositions by the Swiss voice artist Christian Zehnder animate the space in between.
