Grow change with Fabrice !
Meeting Fabrice, a farmer committed to a low-carbon approach
Fabrice raises 100 dairy cows and grows cereals in Maine-et-Loire. In addition to contributing to our daily food supply, he has chosen to take action against climate change. No more imported soy from Brazil — he decided to grow rapeseed and alfalfa to feed his animals with local products. Alfalfa is not very well known, but it’s a crop that not only provides protein for the animals, it also reduces the need for fertilizers on subsequent crops. So it’s a double win for Fabrice!
He also rethought his use of fertilizers by investing in tools to better incorporate them into the soil during application. Another double win: the fertilizers are better absorbed by the plants and there’s less air pollution through volatilization!
Thanks to his efforts, he will reduce the net emissions of his farm by 420 tons of CO₂ equivalent. And that’s not just our word — it’s certified by the Label Bas Carbone, a very demanding standard. In terms of impact, it’s no small feat: that’s equivalent to nearly 2 million kilometers driven by car!
So, thank you Fabrice, for feeding us and fighting every day for our climate. And what if we gave him a little boost?

Why get involved in this initiative?
France Carbon Agri supports the low-carbon transition of 3,000 farmers across France. We oversee their technical support, certify the impact of their practices according to the Label Bas Carbone (a French government standard), and connect these projects with individuals and companies who want to support these farmers.

What will your support be used for?
This project is part of a broader approach to agricultural transition and the fight against climate change. By supporting this initiative, you help prevent 420 tonnes of CO₂ from being released into the air we all breathe. Your contribution fairly compensates the farmer and strengthens a local movement serving a common good: the climate. It’s about backing the women and men in our regions who are committed every day to feeding us and protecting our environment.
