Dear all We apologize for being silent for the last few weeks, but here is our latest news: We have successfully completed our first run of «Hansel & Gretel: Lost & Found» just over a month ago and we were very pleased with the outcome. We played 8 performances to happy audiences and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. We are now planning our next acting workshops for February and thinking about the best approach to make a small tour of «Hansel & Gretel» in the local area. Many thanks again for all of your support of our first show. We could not have done this without you! Liebe Alle Bitte entschuldigt, dass wir uns in den letzten Wochen nicht gemeldet haben. Wir schicken euch hier unsere letzten Neuigkeiten: Wir haben unsere acht Vorstellungen von «Hänsel & Gretel. Lost & Found» vor mehr als einem Monat erfolgreich abgespielt und sind sehr glücklich mit dem Resultat. Unser Publikum gab uns sehr viele positive Rückmeldungen. Im Moment planen wir Theaterworkshops für im Februar und überlegen uns, wie wir «Hänsel & Gretel. Lost & Found» am besten wieder aufnehmen und möglichst damit auf Tournee gehen können. Wir möchten uns noch einmal herzlich bei euch für eure Unterstützung bedanken. Ohne euch wäre dieses Projekt nicht möglich gewesen! After an exciting week with rehearsals in the theater and crossing the t’s on all the production work, we are opening our show tonight! We are super happy that we are getting interested and encouraging responses to our show and concept. Your support helped us to get this production running - we can’t stop thanking you for this, it really means a lot! We got very encouraging feedback from our test audience and we want to share the quote below with you to show that we really do have a product now. We hope to see as many of you at one of our show as possible and hope you will enjoy it!

Nach einer aufregenden Woche, in der wir im Theater probten und der Produktionsarbeit die letzten i-Tüpfelchen aufsetzten, ist heute nun der Tag der Premiere! Wir sind überglücklich über das Interesse an und die Ermutigungen für unser Stück und Konzept. Eure Unterstützung half uns, diese Produktion auf die Beine zu stellen - wir können gar nicht aufhören, uns dafür bei euch zu bedanken! Wir erhielten sehr unterstützende Rückmeldung von unserem Testpublikum und möchten das untenstehende Feedback mit euch teilen um zu zeigen, dass wir wirklich ein Produkt haben. Wir hoffen, dass wir möglichst viele von euch an einer der Vorstellungen sehen werden und ihr viel Freude daran habt!

Last night I had the privilege to watch and take photos of Hansel and Gretel:lost and found at the Safe, Unternehmen Mitte. There are 8 performances starting on Saturday 26th and continuing to run through the rest of week. Both actors Scott Holland and Miriam Cohn were excellent and I really enjoyed the show. Also congratulations to the director. It is a small theatre with black walls and floors and you soon forget that you sitting in a theatre. Having one actor speaking English and the other German should be jarring but you soon forget that is what you are hearing. The show is suitable for kids over 6 and for adults. If you get the opportunity go and see it.

Nachdem unsere Kampagne am 9.10. abgelaufen ist, werden wir sehen, wer uns unterstützt hat und können mit der Verteilung der Belohnungen beginnen. Wir sind überglücklich über eure grosse Ermutigung und Unterstützung, durch die wir unser Ziel von CHF 5’500 erreichen konnten, und möchten uns von Herzen bei unseren ersten Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützern bedanken! Ein Riesendankeschön! Wir wissen nun, dass wir unsere Regisseurin, unsere Graphikerin und den Techniker bezahlen können. Zudem ist die Miete des Theaters gedeckt. Leider haben unsere Versuche, einen Teil unserer Kosten durch öffentliche Gelder zu decken, nicht gefruchtet. Deshalb erhöhen wir hier unser Ziel auf CHF 11’000. Damit hoffen wir, unsere Werbe- und Druckkosten zu decken und hoffentlich auch uns selbst einen Beitrag an unsere Zeit und Energie zu für dieses bereits über zwei Jahre laufende Projekte (mit Schreiben, Produzieren und Proben) zu bezahlen. Wir hoffen auch, dass wir durch eure Unterstützung leichter mehr zukünftige Aufführungen durchführen können. Wir schätzen all die bisherige Unterstützung von Herzen und sind äusserst dankbar dafür. We have been very fortunate and encouraged to reach our goal of CHF 5’500 and would like to give a huge thank you to our early donors for a successful target. Thank you! We are now able to pay our director, graphic designer and theater technician. Also, we have covered the rent of our theater. Unfortunately for us, the foundation support which we were hoping for was not approved so we are stretching our goal to CHF 11’000 in order to help pay for advertising/distribution costs, printing of posters/flyers and then hopefully to pay ourselves for the time and energy we have put into this 2 year project (writing, producing, acting, etc). We also hope that we can organize more shows for the future and having this support would help us do that. We really value and are grateful for all of the support we have received so far and if you feel like you can also donate to our project or spread the word, we would very much appreciate your help.
