Organised flat-sharing for young queer people
The basic idea is to build a house that functions as a residential community with constantly changing flatmates. All adolescents and young adults should be able to feel safe and comfortable and the move-in should give them time to stabilise emotionally. A healthy balance between a cosy community and quiet privacy is very important to us.
Discrimination in your own home
The offer is aimed at adolescents and young adults between 16 and 25 years of age who have to suffer psychological or physical harm in their current places of residence (parental home, foster home, shared accommodation) due to their sexual orientation or identity. Examples of such distress include experiencing neglect, humiliation, hatred, contempt, intolerance, disrespect, verbal and physical violence. If the affected person feels insecure or uncomfortable because of this or is even damaged by it and cannot find a solution him/herself or request professional help, a stay at HAVEN99 can be helpful.
Financial Support
As we will be renting a house, we would like to pay the deposit and furnishings with a starting capital of 30’000CHF, which will be raised by you esteemed donors through crowdfunding.
