This is what it's all about.
Zürich is my home, but it’s getting harder to stay. I’m Heivi: cultural worker, side-hustle queen, and full-time tenant in one of the world’s most expensive cities. After getting an unexpected eviction notice, I decided not to vanish quietly. I’m crowdfunding one year of rent so I can keep living, working, and riding my bike around this complicated city. This project is about holding space, for me, and for everyone being slowly pushed out. Staying is resistance.

My project is special because ...
…it’s not just about rent, it’s about making something visible. The slow, quiet, bureaucratic kind of eviction that’s happening all over Zürich. People are talking about it, yes, but living through it still feels isolating. This campaign turns that experience into something public, quirky, and maybe even a little bit beautiful: with objects, updates, and personal thank-yous that carry the story. Every reward (from torn eviction letters to emotional receipts) is a way to say: this is real. This is happening. And I’m still here.
This is what I need backing for.
The money goes directly to cover my rent for one year in Zürich, for a room in a WG that gives me stability, time, and the ability to keep working in the cultural field. It’s basic, but it’s everything. Your support helps me stay and lets me turn this experience into something I can share: reflections, small works, stories from the edges of the city. It’s survival, yes, but also a soft form of protest.
