Help Nepal during Corona

This is what it's all about.

We slowly return to our normal lives. Now we want to help others to start a normal life again. We are starting a campaign to raise funds for our producers and especially for the employees in Nepal. We finance the campaign personally with a starting fund of 1000 CHF. Help us to improve the lives of many families in Nepal. If we exceed our target of CHF 5000, we will donate the additional money to a small organization that supports local families who currently have no possibility to buy food.

My project is special because ...

We make a real difference on site. We make sure that every franc goes to our producers and especially to our employees and their families. We ensure that people continue to receive their wages, that fixed costs can be paid and that producers have a chance to resume work after the total lockdown in Nepal. This requires investments. CHF 5000 does not cover this need - but it is an important contribution to the total costs. In addition, a further 30% of each item sold through our online shop (www.tgifw.com) will go directly to the producers - until 31 May 2020.

This is what I need backing for.

We work together with several producers in Nepal. Some of them have a sufficiently large financial cushion and can cope with the current difficult situation. We have contributed to this by paying 100% of all our orders in advance. Two of our partners are suffering financially from the current situation: the carpet manufacturer and one of our clothing producers. The fixed costs are high and the approximately 100 employees need their wages to feed their families. With our crowdfunding we want to help cover these fixed costs.
