I have a keen interest to establish a Marwari Horse Centre in South India and exporting the Marwari horse breed to Europe. My name is Ramdas Poojari, and my friend is Raja, a Marwari stallion.

The Goal: Exporting the Finest and Superior Marwari Horse Breed from India to Europe

Until 2008, the export of the Marwari horse breed was banned. India emphasized strict breeding practices aimed at fostering purity and resilience.

Over 500 years ago, Emperor Akbar of Marwar in North India had about twelve thousand horses in its cavalry. I may not reach such a number, but it’s time for me and other breeders in India to export this wonderful horse to you.

I can only give an impression with words: A Marwari horse is known for its loyalty and bravery. A Marwari is responsive and is a master of complex riding maneuvers. This breed is robust and easy to care for. What’s special is that the Marwari horse can rotate its ears by 180º. The ears are medium-sized and bent inwards so that the tips come together. No other breed has such curved, sickle-shaped ears. The neck is arched and carried high, merging into pronounced withers, with, a deep chest and muscular, broad, and angular shoulders.

Only those who have experienced riding a Marwari can understand the world of Marwari horses.

I am aware that Marwari horses are gaining popularity outside of India due to their distinctive appearance and rarity.

HENCE, I AM INITIATING MY MARWARI HORSE CENTRE AS SOON AS FEASIBLE.

My Endeavors and Dedication Towards Establishing the Marwari Center in South India

  • Since I got my Marwari stallion, I have been going to the tourist park almost daily after college and doing the rounds with Raja for 1 Euro. That is my regular source of income.
  • My horse is in demand for weddings and temple processions. The flyer hangs at the information desk of the wedding halls and many temples know me and my Raja. I continue to recruit many new potential customers.
  • To make myself even better known, a large poster has been hanging next to the main road leading to the sea for a month now.
  • I start my online shop for horse articles.
  • I start the club of horse lovers in my region.
  • I contacted the 5-star resorts along the sea to book my horse for interested guests. I will give the hotels and resorts a new flyer.
  • I’ll write to the big clubs in the next big city to get them to book my horse at the next picnic event.
  • I will be doing the rounds with Raja at the next inauguration ceremony of a new company or department stores’. At the last 50 Golden Jubilee of a department store, my Raja was the centre of attention.
  • I am writing to photographers in the area to do the engagement and wedding photo session with my horse by the sea at sunset.

All of this is an important contribution to the development of my horse centre. I can hardly do it alone.

WITH YOUR HELP, ESTABLISHING A MARWARI HORSE CENTER IN SOUTH INDIA IS POSSIBLE!

Utilization of Your Assistance for the Startup

  • A roof over the lunging arena when it rains cats and dogs during the monsoon.
  • Building a sturdy bamboo stable.
  • An extension for feed and equipment. So far, the monthly 300 kg of feed are stored in the pantry of our kitchen.
  • A roof over the dried rice grass.
  • Travel expenses for visiting breeder associations in Rajasthan, 2000 km away.
  • Buying one or more Marwari horses.
  • Payment for the web developer. I am expanding my horse trading business and creating an e-horse platform on my website.
  • Payment for helpers at events where I need three to five assistants.
  • Budget allocation for the purchase of a horse trailer. So far, my horse had to climb over a meter onto a small transporter. I’m having a low-lying horse trailer constructed.
  • Rent and fencing costs for a grazing area. If I have multiple horses, my horses are no longer allowed to roam freely.
  • Construction of one or more horse boxes to accommodate new arrivals.
  • Uniform clothing for my team when we participate in events with our horses. Black pants, white shirts.
