In 2017, I set off on a bike ride to Istanbul. I discovered the pleasure of exploring the world and meeting people while moving at human speed. It was like a revelation and it gave me the desire to circumnavigate the globe in this way. I hope that this adventure will serve as an example and inspire other people to follow their impulses, no matter what obstacles they may face. My competitive spirit, forged by my career as a rower, led me to the idea of breaking the current record.
Don’t hesitate to follow me on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
The record to beat
The record registered with the Guinness World Book is 5 years and 11 days. It was achieved by Erden Eruç between 2007 and 2012.
Thanks to you and a great team of volunteers who surround me, my goal is to achieve it in less than 3 years. The departure is scheduled for September 3, 2023.
This is what I need backing for.
Your support will help me finance stages 1 and 2 of the project. The first stage involves cycling from Morges to Portimao, and the second stage involves crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
The main expenses for these two stages are:
- Transporting the boat from Switzerland to Portugal
- Freeze-dried food for the Atlantic crossing
- Accommodation and provisioning expenses during the bike descent to Portugal
- Safety equipment such as distress beacons, survival boat, and satellite connection.
