Help us fund our very first album + release tour!
Our debut eponymous album, Ensemble Illyrica, will be released this summer on Hitchtone Music. Featuring the classics of our repertoire, we bring a wild, folky flair to our interpretations of Schubert, Villa Lobos, and Piazzolla. We have played this music together since the beginning of our time as an ensemble, and it stays very close to our hearts. If you’re in Austria, Croatia, or the Czech Republic this summer, we hope to see you in the concert halls! Are we not visiting your city? No problem! You can hear us in the comfort of your own home with your own copy of our album that you helped fund.

About Us :
Ensemble Illyrica is a chamber ensemble based in Vienna and Zagreb, which performs standard classical repertoire and commissions genre-bending works from composers. We’ve been close friends since the beginnings of our musical education and have been playing together since 2017. We love to explore the musical repertoire of the past as well as the present, to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects with other performers and visual artists and to bring new music to audiences by giving concerts in small villages and in untraditional classical music venues.

With your help, we will be able to fund the costs of CD production, recording, album art by Peter Ferlan, and travel costs for our 2022 album release tour! As an ensemble we believe in the creation of new works by emerging composers. With this crowdfund, we will also be funding a commission of a brand new quartet written for Illyrica by American composer David Crowell. Crowell has written for major ensembles across the United States, and we are thrilled to feature his latest work on tour this summer.
