What is our project?
- Our aim?
To give 4,000 young people in Jharkhand and West Bengal, India, the keys to becoming agents of environmental and social change for their generation and those to come.
- But how?
Concrete actions are implemented with Terre des Hommes Switzerland:
📹 Eco-reporters: Through photography and writing, children present issues related to their rights and the environment.
🧒🏾 Child clubs: Develop their knowledge of their ecological rights and the fight against violence and discrimination through games and workshops.
🗣️ Community outreach: Using posters, videos and games, children pass on their newly-acquired knowledge to their communities.
🌳 Community reforestation & clean-ups: Young people organize clean-up, recycling and reforestation campaigns.
🌿 Organic gardens: Children learn to grow crops without chemicals, diversifying their diet and adopting sustainable practices.
- Why?
In these regions, poverty, social inequality and the consequences of climate change (heat waves, droughts, pollution, forced migration) jeopardize the fundamental rights of many children. Their access to quality education and a decent future is threatened.
Together, we can act! 💚 Thanks to Pousse d’espoir, we want to train tomorrow’s adults to be agents of change in the face of climate challenges, who will live a safer future in a healthier environment.
Who’s behind Pousse d’espoir?
We are 5 young people from the University of Lausanne, convinced that every young person deserves access to education. A simple gesture contributes to a positive change for the environment. For us, sustainable education is the key to a better future and a preserved planet.
We are involved in this project through activities that bring us together and give meaning to our commitment. Our ultimate goal is to raise a total of CHF 5,000. To achieve this, we’ve organized a tombola and have three other events in the pipeline: a bake sale, a party and a garage sale. However, your support is essential: without you, we won’t be able to meet this challenge.
