Thanks so much for your support!Von Peter Metzinger, am 7.7.2017 16:17

Dear Planet First supporter,

The Planet First campaign to remove 100 tons of CO2 from the air has today come to an end. Unfortunately we did not meet our goal and we will not be able to fund the CO2 removal and storage underground.

Thank you so much for your support. Whilst we are disappointed that the campaign was not successful, we are encouraged by the amount of you who believed in and were passionate enough to back the project.

We would like to apologise to you all that we were not able to realise our goal. After we attended the opening of Climeworks’ world first commercial carbon capture plant, and Donald Trump had made his decision to pull the USA out of the Paris Agreement, we wanted to immediately make a difference in the fight against climate change. We are so passionate about the technology, so we set up the campaign immediately.

We overestimated the virility of the campaign and, in hindsight, we should have taken a little more time in the planning stage. Currently, because of Donald Trump’s decision, there is a huge wealth of material on climate change across the internet, and it was very difficult to have our campaign noticed.

We still firmly believe in Climeworks’ technology as one solution in the fight against climate change. We are excited to see how their technology develops and the many ways in which CO2 can be used as a raw material, especially its usage in create CO2 neutral synthetic fuels.

Thank you once again. Keep putting the Planet First!

Best Regards

The Planet First team

A real shame that the project has had to end - a fantastic idea but unfortunately we live in a World based on short term plans and views. The sooner we all realise there are major World issues and we need to think long term the sooner we make the Earth a safer place. I hope this happens soon and I really hope you don't give up on this particular project because it is needed.

We need your help!Von Peter Metzinger, am 19.6.2017 16:25

THANK YOU! CHF 5000 reached!Von Peter Metzinger, am 9.6.2017 18:10

Thank you all so much being part of this project. With your donations, we have funded 10% of the project within three days!

We are well on the way to meeting our target of 50,000 Swiss Francs and sucking out 100 tons of CO2 from the air! And you are part of it right from the beginning!

We really want to make a difference and show ordinary people all over the world what is possible with current technology. We do not have to wait on our politicians and governments to take action and fight climate change. We can do it!

To keep the momentum of this project going, we would like to ask you for a little more support.

Please copy and paste the below text and share it with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Whatsapp. The minimum pledge option is just 1 Swiss Franc!
