Morgen um 08:00 geht das Crowdfunding zu Ende – und der Erfolg übertrifft unsere kühnsten Erwartungen! Beim Start war der Optimismus recht bescheiden. Fast alle unsere Gesuche um Förderbeiträge waren abgelehnt worden. Beim Verlag überlegte man: Diese Geschichte muss wirklich erzählt werden – können wir das Buch auch produzieren, wenn die Kostendeckung nicht gewährleistet ist? Das Erreichen des ersten Finanzierungsziels machte die Produktion einer Billigvariante möglich. Dann wurde das zweite Finanzierungsziel erreicht, und die Hoffnung stieg: Doch, damit lässt sich etwas machen, was über das Minimum hinausgeht! Und in den letzten Tagen dann ein geradezu spektakulärer Erfolg! Nun steht fest: Es wird ein ansprechendes Buch in guter Qualität, mit einem ausführlichen Fototeil. Im September werdet Ihr Euer Exemplar erhalten, dazu die Belohnungen, die Ihr ausgewählt habt. Auch die Vorvernissage und die Vernissage sind für diesen Zeitraum geplant. Für diesen überwältigenden Erfolg nochmals ein riesengrosses DANKE!
Le crowdfunding se termine demain à 08:00 h - et le succès dépasse nos attentes les plus folles ! Au départ, l’optimisme était plutôt modeste. Presque toutes nos demandes de subventions avaient été refusées. A la maison d’édition, on réfléchissait… cette histoire doit vraiment être racontée - pouvons-nous produire le livre même si la couverture des coûts n’est pas assurée ? L’atteinte du premier objectif de financement a rendu possible la production d’une variante bon marché. Puis le deuxième objectif de financement a été atteint, et l’espoir a grandi : si, on pourra maintenant faire quelque chose de plus que le minimum ! Et ces derniers jours, le succès était véritablement spectaculaire ! Il est désormais sûr : ce sera un livre de bonne qualité, avec une partie photos détaillée. En septembre, vous recevrez votre exemplaire, ainsi que les contreparties que vous avez choisies. Le pré-vernissage et le vernissage sont également prévus pour cette période-là. Un immense MERCI encore une fois pour ce succès retentissant !
The crowdfunding ends tomorrow at 8 a.m. - and the success has exceeded our wildest expectations! At the start, optimism was rather modest. Almost all our funding applications had been rejected. The thinking at the publishing house was: this story really needs to be told - can we produce the book even if cost recovery is not guaranteed? Achieving the first funding target made it possible to produce a low-cost version. When the second funding target was reached, our hopes rose: yes, we will be able to do something more than the minimum! And finally, in the last few days, a truly spectacular success! It is now certain that the book will be attractive and of good quality, featuring a detailed photo section. You will receive your copy in September, along with the rewards you have chosen. The preview and the vernissage are also planned for this period. Once again, a huge THANK YOU for this overwhelming success!

Noch vor Kurzem hätte ich es kaum für möglich gehalten: Heute wurden 87% des Finanzierungsziels erreicht! Euch allen, die Ihr mit Eurer Grosszügigkeit dazu beigetragen habt, danke ich von ganzem Herzen! Wenn die letzten 13% in den nächsten 4 Tagen noch zusammenkommen, wird der Verlag die Fertigstellung des Buches an die Hand nehmen. Und danach sind schon bald gemütliche Lesestunden mit äthiopischem Bier oder Kaffee in Sichtweite – oder äthiopisches Kochen und Betrachten von Bildern aus dem Äthiopien von anno dazumal. Auch die exklusive Vorvernissage und die Vernissage werden wir konkret planen können. Ich freue mich schon jetzt!
Il y a peu de temps encore, j’aurais eu du mal à y croire : Aujourd’hui, les 87% de l’objectif de financement ont été atteints ! Un grand merci du fond du cœur à vous tous qui avez contribué à ce succès par votre générosité ! Si les 13% restants sont réunis dans les quatre prochains jours, la maison d’édition pourra entamer la finalisation du livre. Ensuite, des heures de lecture agréables avec de la bière ou du café éthiopiens seront bientôt en vue - ou bien la préparation d’un repas éthiopien et la contemplation de photos de l’Éthiopie d’autrefois. Nous pourrons également planifier concrètement le pré-vernissage exclusif et le vernissage. Je m’en réjouis d’ores et déjà !
Not that long ago, I would hardly have believed it possible: Today 87% of the funding target has been reached! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you whose generosity has made this possible! If the final 13% can be raised in the next 4 days, the publisher will get to work on finalizing the book. And after that, cozy hours of reading with Ethiopian beer or coffee will soon be in sight - or Ethiopian cooking and looking at photos from the Ethiopia of yesteryear. We will also start the concrete planning of the exclusive preview and the vernissage. I’m greatly looking forward to it!

Wow! Es ging noch schneller als erhofft: Heute wurde das erste Finanzierungsziel erreicht – und übertroffen! Damit sind die minimalen Kosten der Publikation abgedeckt, und wir steuern die zweite Etappe an: für eine Qualität, die über das Minimum hinausgeht. Liebe grosszügige Spenderinnen und Spender: Als erstes ein riesengrosses Dankeschön an Euch alle! Das erste Finanzierungsziel von CHF 3000.- ist in Sichtweite! Es fehlt nur noch ganz wenig, bis wir das nächste Etappenziel ansteuern können. Ich bin überwältigt von so viel Interesse und so viel Unterstützung in so kurzer Zeit! Bei den Belohnungen gibt’s ebenfalls ein Update: Für diejenigen, die entweder keinen Kaffee mögen oder kein Bier trinken, gibt’s neu die Versionen «Kaffeepause» und «Apéro» des Feierabend-Paketes und des Äthiopien-Starter-Packs. Alle, die sich bereits für eines der jetzigen Pakete entschieden haben, werden wir vor dem Versand anfragen, ob sie lieber nur eine der beiden Getränkesorten möchten, dafür in doppelter Menge. Und bei den VIP-Einladungen haben wir klargestellt, dass diese natürlich für zwei Personen gelten. Ihr könnt also gerne jemanden mitbringen, und wenn Ihr als Paar spendet, könnt Ihr die Vorvernissage bzw. die Vernissage gemeinsam geniessen.

Il ne manque plus que très peu pour que nous puissions viser l’objectif suivant. Je suis bouleversée par tant d’intérêt et de soutien en si peu de temps ! En ce qui concerne les récompenses, il y a également une mise à jour : pour ceux qui n’aiment pas le café ou ne boivent pas de bière, nous proposons désormais les versions «pause-café» et «apéro» du kit lecture-détente et du kit Ethiopie-découverte. Avant l’envoi, nous demanderons à celles et à ceux qui ont déjà choisi l’un des packs actuels s’ils préfèrent une seule des deux boissons, mais en double quantité. Nous avons également précisé que les invitations VIP sont bien sûr valables pour deux personnes. Vous pouvez donc volontiers amener un copain ou une copine. Si vous faites un don en couple, vous participerez ensemble à l’avant-vernissage ou au vernissage.

There is also an update on the rewards: for those who either don’t like coffee or don’t drink beer, we now offer the «coffee break» and «aperitif» versions of the cozy reading kit and the Ethiopia starter pack. Anyone who has already chosen one of the current packs will be asked before dispatch whether they would prefer just one of the two types of drink, but in double the quantity.
