Lets co-create a beautiful dome for Liquid Love at Nowhere this Summer!
Legend has it that the first oil-action dates back to 1972 when a daring group of hippies met in a friend’s San Francisco apartment, covered themselves in margerine and rolled around naked together on a shag pile carpet to the sound of Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland.
Things have come a long way since then, the carpet (thankfully) has been replaced by a shiny white tarp, the margarine by scented olive oil, Jimi lives on but the hippies have been joined by oil-adventurers from all walks of life. Today’s oil-actions are sensual, playful, safe and consensual spaces for body-positive experimentation and connection.
It was the Touch&Play tribe who revived the slippery art of the oil-action under the title Liquid Love and brought it to the playa at Nowhere in 2013. Over the years the sessions held at Touch&Play have become legendary and led to an incredible demand from oil-curious Nobodies, and the inevitable limitation on numbers meant that there was a lot of stress around signing up and people being turned away.

This is what we need backing for
With your help we will be able to build a designated dome with a foot washing area and space for up to 45 Nobodies a session, which will radically increase the accessibility to these sessions and make the space for these cleaner and smoother running.
We have wonderful facilitators, musicians and DJ’s interested in running and accompanying the sessions. We will host the classic Liquid Love Experience, Barrio-Bonding-Jams (BBJs), gender-specific sessions, ’surprise’ sessions, sessions with live music or slinky beats, … and will be able to program 2-3 jams a day!
Following the burner principal ’Each one teach one’, the palace will also become a place for our ’oil angel trainings’, for learning about ’the wheel of consent,’ for facilitators to exchange experiences, and for people who want to step up and learn how to run sessions themselves.
We are crowdfunding to offer nobodies better access to oil-actions… once we have the gear we can make it available for 2018 and the years to come. The Playa provides…
Crowdfunding is synonymous with gifting! We are ploughing heaps of time and energy into this dream, so please help us make the palace a reality… we got a dome to buy, a cover to put together, tarps and towels and blindfolds to source and last but not least we need a budget for 150 litres of OIL!
Cost Breakdown
Those are the amounts we need to get the dome off the ground in a minimal initial version. The Dome Cover (adding substantially to the feel of the dome) is currently budgeted as a DIY version. Anything more we can raise will go into getting a proper high quality dome cover made.
