This is what it's all about.
MODULAB is a unique art space that we are currently building, born out of a transversal collaboration between artists, educators, interior architects, and experts in creative technologies.
Here, art becomes a concrete tool: it helps create emotional connections, stimulate imagination, and develop social skills.
The project brings together families and communities and creates a safe, inclusive space for shared experiences, exchange, and learning. Art is accessible here from the earliest age.
The beginning is the most demanding phase of any project. Spaces, materials, first installations, and time for development do not come together on their own. With your support, we can take this first step and lay the foundation for a sustainable cultural and educational space that fosters emotional well-being and social interaction.
How it works
The project is based on two complementary areas: SFERA, an artistic space where installations, light, forms, and sound create conditions for presence, attention, and shared experience. FORMA, an education-focused space offering workshops and hands-on formats at the intersection of art, education, and creative technologies.
My project is special because ...
MODULAB is an interdisciplinary art project that connects art, education, and creative technologies within an open art space.
Here, art is not something to simply look at, but something to experience, explore, and use together. Through artistic installations and creative formats, we create moments that foster connection, encourage exchange, and naturally support learning processes — for children, young people, and adults.
MODULAB brings together a freely accessible art experience (SFERA) with a structured education area (FORMA). In SFERA, art can be experienced, explored, and discovered together. In FORMA, workshops and hands-on formats take place, combining contemporary education with creativity and experience.
Thanks to its modular structure, MODULAB can adapt its programs flexibly to different needs and age groups. This creates a sustainable model that connects cultural participation, access to art from early childhood through adulthood, and contemporary approaches to education.
This is what I need backing for.
Budget
For the launch of MODULAB, we are seeking support of CHF 9,500. This budget will allow us to implement the first artistic and educational content and bring the space to life.
The funds will be used as follows:
CHF 3,500 for fees for artists and educators – concept development and content creation for the first installations and education formats
CHF 3,500 for fees for artists – artistic realization of the installations on site
CHF 2,500 for space setup, technical infrastructure, and material preparation
In addition, MODULAB is supported by valuable partnerships: Matériaux Sabag Porrentruy provides materials for the space, and Colorama Porrentruy supports us with paints for creative areas and the realization of the installations.
This support lays the foundation for an open, high-quality art space and makes the launch of MODULAB and the realization of the first artistic and educational works possible.
