An artisanal activity in the heart of Basel, by cargobike

Hello everyone, my name is Stephane, I am a carpenter by trade. I am now relying on you because I feel the need to practice my trade independently :

• The first goal is to practice my trade on a cargo bike, since it has become obvious to me to combine cycling with carpentry for obvious environment reasons;
• The second reason is to embody a solid example for craft companies in the department. I want to inspire them to do the same, and thus create a small community of artisanal cyclist workers. The more people in this practice, the greater the environmental impact will be.

My project is special because ...

Expanding the community of «cyclo-entrepreneurs» in a large city. There are many trades that can be carried out by cargo bike, such as plumbers, plasterers, electricians and many others, who cannot work without heavy vehicles for large-scale deliveries. But you can go to your building site every day by bike, and doing it myself may convince other neighbour companies it is possible to transport large and small loads with the right equipment : this is why I need your help. You too can contribute to the growth of cargo bike entrepreneurship.

Thanks to your contributions, I will buy the trailer and all the latest specific tools for light cycling. I’ll set up the business premises (close to Basel station), arranging it in such a way as to work in optimal comfort.
