What is my mission?
Do you know that every minute 2 women lose their uterus or their ovaries because of Endometriosis and PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)?
Hello! I’m Antonia Lomer and I am the founder of Pain Patterns. After 8 years of creating purposeful tech innovation solution in the corporate environment and being diagnosticated with PCOS, I am today on a mission to help women track their pain and know when is time to take action for their health.
Today, 2 in 10 women are affected by PCOS and Endometriosis, but because of the late diagnosis, the lack of diagnosis and finally the lack of a cure, half of these women become infertile.
I use a pain measurement device to collect data on pain, do the analysis and match the pain pattern with PCOS or Endometriosis. This helps both women and medical staff differentiate between menstrual cramps – which are normal and menstrual pain – which is not normal, with the intention to speed up diagnostic.
Having the pain pattern and knowing when there is a significant deviation can enable women to go to the doctor earlier, get diagnosed earlier and benefit from preventive measures, rather than having only the option to react to the illnesses.
Want to join me in my mission and come together to help women stay beautiful on the inside, as well as on the outside?

Why I am on this mission?
As a woman, I believe pain is not something normal and definitely not something we should live with.
I have been diagnosed with PCOS in my 30’s, but I started to struggle with most of the symptoms even before my 20’s. One of the symptoms, that is most frustrating, is the pain. And I couldn’t find a way to express how bad it was to all the doctors I’ve seen. It didn’t feel normal to me. And I couldn’t function or do anything when I had my period.
Now, medical staff use pain patterns assessment tools that are visual, palpable or through communication with their patient. My proposal is to create this device that can collect pain data from current patients, in order to learn and recognize early the pain patterns of healthy women, versus women with PCOS and women with Endometriosis.
This would give women the chance to more preventive measures and not just to reactive solutions that most often lead to infertility. I know too many women that lost their uterus or their ovaries due to either Endometriosis or PCOS and I decided to take action. If we can have a broader understanding of these affections, we have a higher chance to find better solutions.
Please join me in my mission to show that menstrual pain is not normal, is rather is a sign that women should take into account as a warning from their body and use it to take action for their health.
How I will use the donations?
I am raising this money for the Phase (1) of my project.
🟢 40% of the donations will go towards buying the devices that I need in order to start the first tests with 3 groups of women:
- Women in good health
- Women diagnosed already with PCOS (Polycystic Ovaries Syndrom)
- Women diagnosed already with Endometriosis.
The devices will be used by women to start the first round of testing, collect data and understand if an AI model is necessary to develop in Phase (2).
🔵 30% of the donations will go towards building the Website on the www.pain-patterns.com domain, which I already own. This will be a platform for Live Counters and Statistics, Ambassadors of the Project as well as Sponsors and Partners.
🟠 30% of the donations will go towards Communication and Marketing, building the community and using Social Media to reach out to women and anyone that knows someone suffering of menstrual pain or already diagnosticated with PCOS/ Endometriosis.
Your donation means that I will be able to gain momentum in my mission and manage to complete Phase (1) in 6 months and be ready for Phase (2) in February 2025.
