Vision

My vision is to create a place in nature where people, together with me, can relearn how to feel truly free, alive, and happy. A place that allows individuals to step out of their hectic daily lives and find silence. From this place of tranquility, connected with ourselves, we can become empowered to give life a deeper meaning and direction with renewed awareness. So that we can be looking forward to each new day with boundless joy. Because we can play, learn, and grow again. And be fascinated by life, looking at it as a miracle, just as we all did as children. When we were still truly connected. With ourselves, with others, and with everything around us.

My name is Philip, I’m 36, and I would be thrilled if you became part of my vision.

I had an incredibly happy childhood. Then I stepped onto the more or less ordinary path, which led me from a technical apprenticeship to studying business engineering, to becoming a product manager, to self-employment, to flight school to become an airline pilot (I finished just before COVID-19, which is why I never worked as an airline pilot), and back to self-employment.

Although I learned a lot from all these activities, I noticed that the magic of life somehow disappeared. Deep inside, I always knew that life had so much more to offer.

In our society, I found no helpful answers to my questions. Least of all to how I should deal with what I have inherited transgenerationally.

I found more and more answers in other traditions and ways of living, in which, from my perspective, people are still much more connected. With themselves, with others, and with nature.

In mid-2022, I gave up my last startup and my apartment, left family and friends behind, and traveled to South and Central America for a year to learn directly from various indigenous tribes. A 10-day Vipassana retreat (11 hours of meditation per day) was also part of the journey.

And I was able to learn so much. Above all, I learned that we don’t need much to be happy. We have everything within us. We just often let this be overshadowed by the noise and chaos outside, and we forget where we come from, who we are, and what we really want. Namely, to be free, happy, joyful, curious, alive, strong, and loved, just like we were as children.

Today, I am once again a very happy person. With a clear mind, clear goals, and an open heart. With my experiences, I was able to help many people in individual ways, especially over the past year since I’m back. Many say that I inspire them to make the necessary changes in their lives to be happier again too.

At the Place of Connection, I offer people an optimal space and support for a few hours to find silence to reconnect with themselves. We will achieve this through various activities that will help you feel your body, mind, emotions, and soul again. We will meditate, practice Yoga and QiGong, and learn how to use our minds again in a supportive way in order to create the life that we really want. We will play, sing, laugh, dance, and be creative. We will also reconnect with nature through healthy, fresh nutrition and the conscious use of our senses. And we will get to know and connect with one another.

All of this will help us remember who we are and what makes us happy. Back to our roots. Back to connection. Forward into happiness.

I also packed much of what I have learned into an easy-to-understand program that serves as a structure and overview. And most importantly, it is something that everyone can take home with them.

Realisation

This summer I’m going to start my big vision on a small scale. In concrete terms, this means living for at least two months in a relatively large tent (7 meters in diameter, 4 meters high) on a wooden platform at the edge of the forest in Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg. I will build and set up as much as I can myself: Wooden platform, tent, kitchen, shower, space to practice, etc.

Status of Realization

  • I have presented the concept to the local community and it has been approved (link to the concept below)
  • Consent from the farmer and private forest owner has been obtained
  • A shopping list with all the necessary materials has been created (see below)
  • Construction plans have been created

Next Steps

  • Successfully carry out crowdfunding campaign
  • Purchase materials
  • Build the platform, tent, kitchen, etc.
  • Invite first visitors: Launch in August 2024

With your contribution I will be able to purchase the following:

Outlook

After this experience, I will go deeper into my breathwork, Qigong, Yoga, and massage skills.

Next year, I want to create a new «place of connection.» Bigger and more permanent. All the materials purchased for this project, such as the tent, wooden platform, tools, solar panel, etc., will then be reused to build the larger version.

My project has matured over many years, and I am very excited that the time has come to implement it in a first version now. In order to learn a lot together (hopefully with you too), which can be incorporated into the larger version next year.

I would be thrilled if you joined me in my vision to create something lasting together. I am convinced that this project has the potential to make a meaningful impact and contribute positively to our society, even if only in a small way.

I hope to see you soon!

Best wishes

Philip
