This is what it's all about.
Each musical work will be recorded on an instrument that corresponds to the historical context of its time of creation. In this way, an authentic and coherent arc of sound unfolds across the centuries. The CD is conceived as a musical self-portrait of me as a musician, guided by my curiosity for historical sound ideals. The project is organizationally demanding, as it involves a wide range of different instruments – both bassoons and historical pianos. Participants: Sharon Prushansky, piano / Aljaz Begus, clarinet / Michaela Wiesbeck, sound engineer Recording dates: February 2027 Release: expected summer 2027
My project is special because ...
My project includes several world premieres:
- The first recording of a work for bassoon and piano by Gioacchino Rossini, «Concerto per pianoforte con accompagnamento di fagotto»
- Recording with a forgotten instrument, the alto sarrusophone
- First recording of the Hindemith Sonata on the original instruments
- First recording of the Gustav Schreck Sonata on the original instruments of the time
This is what I need backing for.
In order to realize the project, I rely on financial support. Funding is required to cover recording costs, venue rental, piano tuning, travel expenses, and fees for the participating musicians.
