Surfing the Purple Wave 🌊
We are the Purple Waves, a music group made up of four girls: Mathilde, Kléa, Thalia, and Julie. All four of us are students, each with a different but complementary musical background and it’s this diversity that gives our project its richness. From conservatory harmonies to choir experiences and personal musical explorations, each of us brings our own sensitivity, voice, and influences to the group.
We write and compose our own songs in a pop-rock style that blends vocals, guitars, percussion, and vocal harmonies. Our songs reflect what we live through: everyday doubts and joys, friendship, our commitments, and our scars. Together, we form a sincere, gentle, and bold group. True to who we are.
Our name, Purple Waves, evokes a world of colorful sounds, emotional tides, and dreamy yet powerful shades. Purple embodies that blend of intensity and delicacy. The «waves» represent movement, heartfelt cries, and the echoes music can create. And that’s exactly what we aim to share: music that resonates, that stirs something deep inside, that sweeps you away.
Since the creation of the band, we’ve had the chance to perform live on several occasions: at café concerts, festivals, and community events. At every show, we share songs that reflect who we are, driven by a genuine desire to bring our music to life for the audience.

What makes our project unique is its authenticity. We play from the heart and write from who we are. Each member of the band brings her own touch, her story, her color. And it’s in this honest alchemy that our sound is born, simple, poetic, and full of life.
Our goal is to contribute to the rise of female bands and help give them the space they deserve on the music scene.
We move forward with limited resources but a lot of determination, trying to make every concert and every song a space for freedom and creation.
