My name is Andri Casanova, a baritone from Lucerne. As long as I can remember, I have dreamed of becoming an opera singer and living up to the great art form.

I study voice with the goal of one day performing on the world’s great opera stages. Already, I’ve had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with artists such as Ludovic Tézier, who described me as «a born singer, a born artist» — a sentence that deeply moved me and strengthened my resolve. The next decisive step on my path is a professional recording setup. High-quality recordings are essential today for applications to competitions, masterclasses, and auditions — and to present my voice as it truly sounds. With this setup, I can work independently, record at any time, and actively shape my artistic development. For this, I need CHF 5,478 — not a luxury, but a fundamental tool.

What makes my project unique is that I am not only a singer, but I also understand the technical side of sound. With my knowledge, my ear, and my experience, I am able to produce recordings at the level of a professional studio – something that is rare in my artistic environment.

Even today, professional singers – including artists from Lucerne Theatre – place their trust in me and come to record with me. They know that I do not simply hear their voices, but truly understand them – as a singer, as a musician, and as a human being.

Having my own recording setup would be a double gain: I could take my own artistic work to the next level – creating high-quality demos, audition recordings, and competition submissions – while at the same time helping other artists make their voices heard in the best possible quality.

How will the funds be used? With this project, I am building my own professional recording setup. It will enable me to produce high-quality vocal recordings for applications, auditions, competitions, and continuous artistic work at a professional standard.
