Plastic is one of the biggest problems facing humanity. We surround our children with plastic every day. A material that pollutes our environment to such an extent that it will be the greatest task of their lives to rid our planet of it again. The brightly colored plastic world in toy stores is a major contributor to the fact that even babies eat plasticizers and other toxic ingredients every day, oceans are polluted and people in producing countries suffer serious illnesses.

We are revolutionizing this industry by being the first suppliers of zero waste play furniture. We use pure Austrian corrugated cardboard - our favorite material and flagship recycled product that can be reprocessed into corrugated cardboard 25 times and for which no tree is cut down.

From this extremely robust and stable corrugated cardboard, we develop children’s play furniture that combines durability and stability with residue-free recyclability. This makes ecological children’s products accessible to every family.

The first small collection of our Papperlapapp universe consists of three pieces of play furniture - a playhouse, a store and a play kitchen. All products are supplied as kits - strengthening the bond between adults and children as they build together. Piece by piece, tab by tab, small architectural works of art are created - and playing with your own hands is even more fun. The relationship to the material and the construction process educates children in many aspects. Spatial understanding, dealing with sustainable materials and the work that goes behind a finished toy are just a few of them. There are also no limits to creativity in the design of the play furniture.

My project is special because ...

For 3 years now, we have been working on our absolute heart project. Out of deep conviction and passion for this topic, we have developed together with our partners from the industry a Europe-wide unique know-how, which makes us pioneers in the development of durable and at the same time recyclable toys. With your support we can produce a first series of our collection and reach many people with it. Our vision is a small cardboard universe with recyclable alternatives for your children’s favorite toys and craft kits and matching biodegradable craft supplies. About 1.5 years ago, thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, we were able to develop our very first prototype ready for series production. The wonderful crowd, the great feedback and the many suggestions have motivated us to go this way again to be able to produce a first small series. Besides the production, you also support the further development of creative and recyclable play furniture and craft sets.
