This is what it's all about.
Over 7 billion tonnes of plastic wastes have been produced in the past 5 years, and 70% of this has simply been accumulated in nature or in dumpsites.
Despite all the efforts made, the production of plastic continues to increase and recycling does not always appear to be a viable solution to give a new life cycle to plastic.
This pollutes a lot the oceans and favors the climatic disturbances to which our planet is subjected.
ReThink has a solution to solve this problem and relieve the earth of all this pollution.
What if we told you that it would be possible to use this plastic wastes as a new raw material?
In addition to reduce the amount of plastic wastes incinerated and accumulated in nature or in dumpsites, this would reduce the carbon footprint associated with the production of the raw materials initially used.
This is where upcycling comes in.
The concept of upcycling
Unlike recycling, it does not require any chemical treatment and requires significantly less energy and water. It is in fact a form of recycling which only requires mechanical and thermal processes, and which does not require a material as pure as for conventional recycling.
Upcycling respects the environment, in fact, reusing already created materials is a relevant solution but also essential to reduce the impact of the creation of all kinds of raw materials.
The range of application areas is extremely wide, ranging from construction materials and furniture to sport equipments and all kinds of objects.
We need your support so that we can start this new plastic life cycle and start reducing the amount of wastes inappropriately discarded while creating low carbon raw material.
This is what I need backing for.
These funds will allow us to start the implementation of this new plastic life cycle.
Several expensive machines are required to perform the tests necessary to design the raw material according to the desired field of application.
Among other things, this money will be used to acquire: A plastic crusher, a hydraulic press, a compression furnace, an extruder, an injection machine and a CNC.
Thanks to these machines we will also be able to start the production of the first products that will generate income and we can then be autonomous and invest the profits in research around plastics and solutions that can be proposed.
