A mobile sauna in the heart of the Valais
Saun’Alpin is a mobile sauna designed and developed by three students from the HES-SO.
Our goal: to offer an authentic, simple wellness experience deeply connected to the landscapes of Valais, thanks to a sauna that travels to different locations each month.
The project was born out of our immersion in Finland. Each of us spent several weeks immersed in Finnish culture, where the sauna is much more than a moment of relaxation: it is a social ritual, a meeting place, a way of living in harmony with nature. This experience left a lasting impression on us and made us want to bring this philosophy back to our canton, in our own way. 🇫🇮🇨🇭
With Saun’Alpin, we want to create an experience that follows the seasons, the valleys and the landscapes. A sauna open to all, self-sufficient and accessible, where people come to seek warmth, silence, simplicity and, above all, a connection with the environment around us.🏔

Saun’Alpin is not just a sauna: it is a mobile sauna, designed to travel to different locations in Valais every month. Thanks to this mobility, each session becomes a new experience, in harmony with the seasons, the landscapes and the desires of each individual.
Each location is carefully chosen to enhance the experience, whether it be a lake, a forest or a valley opening onto the peaks…
The experience offered by Saun’Alpin is authentic, natural and autonomous: you can enjoy the sauna as they do in Finland, simply, in direct contact with nature.
Led by three students from Valais, the project is part of a local and committed approach. This itinerant format is unlike a traditional spa: it is a raw and accessible ritual that invites you to slow down and reconnect.
We want to carry out this project to offer a new way of experiencing well-being: freer, more mobile and more rooted in the region.
Through Saun’Alpin, we want to reveal the beauty of Valais in a different way, offering a moment to breathe and bringing a Nordic tradition to the Swiss Alps in a respectful, contemporary and sustainable way.
