We want to express our deepest gratitude for your contribution to our cause. Our house would not be able to exist without your help. It manifested our belief that Zurich needs more places which are perceived as an inclusive landmark for cultural exchange and experiences, for subcultures and minorities alike. We will now be able to pay the rent until summer 2021 and maybe even do some remediation work on our house. So again: THANK YOU.
We are now coordinating the logistics to distribute all the rewards you purchased. You should all have them by the end of April. Please make sure to double check your contact details on WeMakeIt.
Our part of the work has already begun, and the forecast is surely more optimistic than a couple of months ago: We are now in the process of setting the program for this year, hoping that we can be up and running soon with lesser governmental restraints. Our ethos is still clear; part of the program will be intrinsic and set by the current members of our house. Still, we want to be adamant about our approach, which is always a collaborative one. This means that all our self-organized events are a multitude of entities within the cultural and social fabric of Zurich. We believe that a set program is important in order to carve out a fundamental tone – an identity so to speak. The rest of the program, as mentioned, we leave blank: We want to give subcultures a space to expose and express themselves, thus essentially being a contrast to rather institutionalized cultural spaces in Zurich.
We are taking this huge achievement as turning point. We are in the process of revamping our membership structure, while still having the above mentioned ethos as a driving force behind this operation. We have already made some substantial internal progress, which we will soon communicate publicly, ideally by mid-April. What we want to say is: Watch this space. Good things are coming, of which hopefully all of you will be an essential part of. We are very much looking forward to it.

Wir sind überglücklich Euch mitzuteilen, dass wir unser Ziel erreicht haben und durch Eure Hilfe tatsächlich bis Sommer 2021 überleben werden können. Wir danken Euch von Herzen dafür!
Wir bleiben aber dran! Wir haben jetzt noch 15 Tage Zeit, die wir noch voll nutzen möchten, um weitere Sanierungsarbeiten zu finanzieren:
Mit weiteren CHF 10’000.- können wir ein nachhaltiges Heizungs- und Kühlsystem in unserem Haus installieren – bis anhin haben wir uns mit provisorischen und kostspieligen Lösungen zufrieden geben müssen. Eine verbesserte Schallisolierung ist dringend nötig.
Des Weiteren haben Freundinnen und Sympathisantinnen der LangstrassenKultur uns während dieser nervenzehrenden Zeit in juristischer und bürokratischer Hinsicht mit Kompetenz und Hingabe zur Seite gestanden – pro bono. Wir möchten diesen Menschen gerne in Form eines symbolischen Honorars etwas zurückgeben und unsere Dankbarkeit aussprechen.
Wir haben auch neue Belohnungen aufgeschaltet und hoffen damit, Euch und Eure Freund*innen erneut überzeugen zu können.
