At the end of August, flooding in Punjab destroyed the livelihoods of many families. With 6,500 Swiss francs, we want to provide short-term help to finance school fees for children.

When water takes everything away, education must not be lost.

The once-in-a-century floods in the Himalayas at the end of August robbed families of their crops, livestock and homes. They have been without any income for months – and therefore also without the money to pay their children’s school fees. Fortunately, the school itself was spared – but without help, many children are at risk of losing their place at school.

We are committed to education and equality

ExChange together aims to improve living conditions in Indian families and promote their independence through education, equality and exchange. We value being in contact with people in India and Switzerland and bringing people together.

The flood of the century showed how vulnerable families in the region are. Our main goal is to continue building the school and make it financially independent in the long term.

Your donation provides education

Our goal is to cover school fees for the coming months. With CHF 6,500, we can finance school costs for affected children for four months. That amounts to around CHF 50 per child.

Every donation counts – and every contribution provides education in a region where it is more important than ever.
