When I launched the fundraising campaign for the schools in the Himalayas, I never expected that we would achieve so much in such a short time. Thanks to your support, we now have more funds available than originally planned – a wonderful «problem» that allows us to do even more for the two schools.
Over the past few days, I have spoken with Padam, my local guide. He contacted the school administrations to ask which additional purchases would be most useful. It became clear that there are still several important needs.
One school would like to acquire one or two additional smartboards, each costing around USD 1,000. The exact price can only be determined once the devices are purchased in Kathmandu, as Padam does not live in the capital and prices may vary locally.
The other school would benefit from three to four laptops, costing approximately USD 500 per device. In addition, an A3 copier would be very valuable for one of the schools. The exact price is not yet known and will also need to be clarified in Kathmandu.
The school administrations emphasized that they are consciously working to improve digital access and to gradually make teaching more digital, in order to better prepare the schools for the future.
Every additional contribution helps us invest directly in this infrastructure – in smartboards, laptops, and a copier. There is still much that we can make possible together.
I will of course keep you informed.
Thank you soooo much for your support – it truly means a lot to me.

Wow – I am overwhelmed.
Only a few days after launching my fundraising appeal for the schools in the Himalayas, the goal of CHF 2,500 is already almost reached – we currently stand at CHF 2,450 via the We Make It platform. In addition, there are the donations that reached me directly via Twint.
This means that much more is already possible than originally planned. I will discuss the additional purchases we can make for the two schools with Padam on site in the next steps. I am sure that we will be able to achieve even more for the students in Yalung and Shivalaya – and I am incredibly happy about that.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far. Of course, I will show what the money is used for and keep you updated.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
