Stable for rescued horses

This is what it's all about.

Unfortunately, there are people who mistreat animals, neglect them, or deny them medical care. These vulnerable, weak, and unprotected animals are taken in by the «Refuge for Happy Animals,» founded by Giancarlo Galli in 2002. Located in the heart of nature on the Italian-Swiss border, around 600 animals live here, including cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, various species of birds, sheep, goats, pigs, cows, foxes, rabbits, wild boars, and more. All of them have a past they want to forget. Despite being different species, they live peacefully and harmoniously together, which is both extraordinary and beautiful. We do our best to heal their sad pasts with love and care. Every animal is given a name and the promise to live out their days in safety and comfort at the «Refuge for Happy Animals.»

My project is special because ...

The stories of these animals break our hearts and leave us questioning how people can inflict so much suffering on those who cannot defend themselves. Our strength and motivation come from the animals who now have better lives and show their gratitude every day in their own way for the love they receive.
