«Hope Children's Home»
I’m supporting this Indonesian orphanage as part of a sabbatical that lasts until August. When I arrived, I discovered that their building had been destroyed by fire. The children were rehoused in a tiny room found in a hurry.

Current conditions
Currently, the children (the youngest are 4 years old) sleep and wash in deplorable conditions. They spend the night all together, crammed into a tiny, suffocating room. There is only one toilet and one shower, with no door, for the 40 children. There is no kitchen; a table serves as a work surface.

Your help is urgent
Your help would enable them to continue building their new home, which has been delayed due to a lack of funds. It would also enable us to provide for the children’s daily needs (sufficient food, personal hygiene, recreational activities, as the current situation does not allow them to leave their place). This orphanage, set up by an Indonesian family, is independent and receives no government support. It survives only thanks to donations from the people of Dalung. Despite the island’s reputation as a tourist destination, it currently receives no support from abroad. Your help is urgently needed.
