Our Story

At EPFL Carbon Team, we value two things more than anything: sustainability and education. We wish to raise a new generation of Swiss-based, climate-conscious engineers who will go on to be leaders in the environmental industry.

Every experiment, every prototype, and every failure teaches us something new about how to design more responsibly. Through this project, we’re not just building sustainable systems; we’re learning how to become responsible innovators.

With your support, we can continue developing technologies that make a difference, while empowering students to grow into changemakers ready to tackle the climate challenges ahead.

The Rarity

What makes us stand apart is how rare it is to have a research team at this level. We are Bachelor’s and Master’s students from all sorts of domains (chemistry, mechanical engineering, physics…), collaborating with world-renowned professors and laboratories to build a carbon capture module in a way that has never been done before. We combine two cutting-edge technologies (adsorbents and graphene membranes) to potentially save massively on energy costs as well as the overall cost of the system.

What do we need the help for?

All the donations will go towards the development of our team, whether it’s research, scaling up our technology, organising an event to raise awareness, or maybe even a nice teambuilding event :) Currently, we are looking to improve the efficiency of our technology and possibly build a new prototype.
