Who are we
We Spoke is a contemporary chamber music collective based between Switzerland and London led by percussionist Serge Vuille. We Spoke collaborates with composers, artists, stage directors, actors, dancers and choreographers to bring a virtuosic and original view on contemporary music.
The project
In the past few years, We Spoke developed a close collaboration with Swiss composer Fritz Hauser. We are currently taking on tour Different Beat – a programme entirely dedicated to his chamber music with Julien Annoni, Olivier Membrez, Julien Mégroz and Serge Vuille joined by Fritz Hauser himself for a quintet version of his pieces ’Schraffur’. Next performance on 3rd February 2015 at Cafe OTO in London as part of the Kammer Klang series.
The Spanish label Neu Records invited us to record his work in 5.1 surround sound in the prestigious Salle de Musique de la Chaux-de-Fond that will be released on a double CD and high definition digital formats in 2015. To make all this happen, the project needs CHF 2’500 to cover the hire of the recording venue.
