Parapura is your Swiss online store for eco-friendly products. We want to make leading a more sustainable lifestyle easy as pie. That’s why you’ll find a curated selection of home and lifestyle goods that look great AND are kind to the planet.
Why is this relevant? From the depths of the Mariana Trench, the ocean’s deepest point, to the summit of Mount Everest or the food on our plates - plastic is everywhere and pollution continues to increase. This also affects Switzerland, where our high standard of living makes us one of the biggest waste producers in the world: On average, each of us produces almost 2kg of waste per day!
What makes us unique
Sustainability meets design and user-friendliness. We invest a lot of time in the research and selection of our product range so that you can shop in good conscience without additional effort and without compromise. We care about the composition and packaging of products and where and how they were made. For example, we place great emphasis on natural materials, durability and circularity and avoid plastic packaging altogether.
Furthermore, all orders are packed plastic-free in an efficient manner and we reuse the packaging material of our suppliers whenever possible. As a member of the non-profit organisation «Ecologi», Parapura plants one tree for every item ordered, supporting accredited Gold Standard or equivalent environmental projects around the world. Our long-term goal is to one day have scaled to a size that allows us to take on a much more active role and be on-site.
Why we need your support
We have laid the foundation for Parapura and bootstrapped every aspect of our online store, steadily growing our product offering and customer base. As a couple and co-founders, we are now ready to take the plunge and turn Parapura from a side hustle into a full-time commitment. We have many things planned, including the formation of a limited liability company, new exciting brands, website upgrades and more, and need outside support for this next step.
