What is Tarot of Venetian Carnival?
My name is Eugene Vinitski, I’m artist and illustrator from Geneva. I’m pleased to introduce you my last creation the Venetian Carnival tarot card deck, the result of 2 years hard and exciting work of creation. The deck has been created following Rider Waite traditions. Iconographic materials of the life in Venice in 16th-18th centuries were used when working at the Venetian Tarot. Eclecticism is a response to the today’s realities and the possibility of getting closer to that epoch. The main idea involves famous Venetian masks worn by all the arcanum characters in the deck. This allows appreciating the epoch and provides freedom for imagination promoting multilayer perception. The deck has a conventional structure of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Minor Arcanum classification by suits is also traditional and is represented by Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. The all materials for printing is ready : the full deck of 78 cards golden gilded, the booklet translated in english and luxury box. I need your kind participation to transform this project into reality! Discover the magic world of the tarots where anything is possible!
First handmade illustrated Venetian Tarot
The wonderful world of Carnival in Renaissance Venice has never been illustrated and never was the subject of Tarot cards. It’s the first Tarot cards drawing by hand and inspired by ancient Venetian masks and costumes. There, miracle plays of the Carnival become intertwined with the world of Tarot. This is what Venetian Tarot is based on. It is aimed at revealing what is hidden from us to let us know what is behind the world of masks around us. I need you help to print this exciting and unique Tarot deck!
