World Music Fusion
Our music can be categorized as World Music Fusion. Our aim its to create create new music taking harmonic, rhythmic and melodic commonalities from a wide range of styles: gypsy jazz, tango, huapango, afro, indian music, soul, post rock, classical music, bossa nova and irish folk amongst others.
For this aim we use a very wide range of instruments, applying their sound to unusual musical forms. Some of our instruments are sitar, accordion, clarinet, violin, guitar, irish bouzouki, cello, piano, erhu, irish whistle, synthesizers and others… There’s not as many people in the band as there’s instruments on the stage, so we decided to become multiinstrumentalists.
The name apeiron is concept created by the antique greek philosopher Anaximander. In regarding the theory of the four elements – earth, wind, water and fire – he discovered that they wouldn’t exist without a common, undetermined element. This element he called the Apeiron, which also means the «undetermined» and the «infinite». Applying this to music, the Apeiron means for us the energetic thriving of emotionality. This is why we search the feeling in the unveiled language of music, the «universal language that anyone can understand», as Schopenhauer says.
We believe that one of the important functions of art is to bring human emotionality and sensitivity to discover inner, subjective truths, which can’t be otherwise be expressed through abstractions. This makes music an essential part of human life. A single song can change our idea of the world…
We are all passionate musicians and believe in this task. This is why we’re searching for your support.
Our aim is to record a professional CD and bring our music and our message to more people! Thanks for your support!
