In Vers Les Étoiles, we follow a young woman living in seclusion with her dog in the mountains, spending night after night gazing at the stars through her telescope. Yet suddenly, her quiet world begins to shift, taking on a mysterious turn: unexplained lights in the sky, radio interference, and fragments of memories of encounters with supernatural beings unsettle her. And again and again, one haunting phrase returns: «Come Joséphine in my flying machine…»
Driven by unease, she embarks on a long journey northward, where an unexplainable light awaits her in an open field. Her dreams begin to seep into reality, the mosaic pieces falling into place.
In her search for meaning, she turns to the Book of Enoch, the writings of a prophet who lived 6,000 years ago. Slowly, she begins to recognize a thread connecting what happened to Enoch with what is happening to her. The parallels grow clearer—between past and present, between the prophet and herself.
She lets go of fear. Her uncertainty transforms into surrender—into devotion to this unknown, cosmic force.

Vers Les Étoiles» is far more than just a short film. It is a cinematic work, a visual poem suspended between heaven and earth. With aesthetic power and a meticulous attention to detail, the film unfolds its world through artful set design, picturesque panoramic shots, and breathtaking timelapses of the night sky. As befits an art film, «Vers Les Étoiles» does not follow a conventional plot but a poetic narrative flow, unfolding in a calm, non-linear structure. It is solely the inner voice of the protagonist that guides the viewer: quiet, questioning, searching. At its core is a reinterpretation of a story older than the Old Testament. An ancient, almost mythical tale is reimagined, re-seen, and re-felt. At the center is a woman, powerful and searching, whose journey takes place away from the familiar world: in raw, untamed nature, in quiet solitude.
