With the festival on September 15th, 16th, and 17th, 2023, we pay tribute to Jina Mahsa Amini and the many other victims of the Islamic regime. For over 44 years, this regime has trampled upon the most fundamental rights of the population and threatens regional and global peace. At the same time, we celebrate the revolutionary movement «Woman, Life, Freedom,» which has been combating the Islamic Republic for almost a year, representing the greatest threat to the regime since its inception. Free Iran Switzerland is an open platform that welcomes all democratically-minded Swiss citizens who wish to support the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and justice. The platform creates a space for exchange and aims to encourage Swiss politics to use their good offices for a free, secular, and democratic Iran.

The death of Jina Mahsa Amini has sparked a women-led revolution with the aim of toppling the islamic regime. In Iran, people of all genders, social classes, religions, and regions of the country are fighting for democracy, human rights, and freedom. The regime brutally suppresses these individuals with unprecedented brutality. In just 9 months, over 700 people have been killed by the regime, and more than 22,000 people have been imprisoned. We must be the voice of the oppressed Iranian people! We need your support to pressure politicians to take action. With the festival in Basel, Zurich, Geneva, Bern, and Lausanne, we draw attention to this important issue and strengthen ourselves for the intense months ahead through the solidarity of all participants.

With this three-day festival, we pay tribute to Jina Mahsa Amini and the many other victims of the islamic regime. Your support will help us raise awareness among the Swiss public about the human rights situation in Iran through informational events and awareness campaigns. We will also organize political events and cultural manifestations such as theater performances, photography exhibitions, markets, and musical actions to highlight the revolutionary movement for freedom in Iran. To accomplish all of this, we need funds for technical equipment, infrastructure, security, permits, and communication tools such as posters and flyers.
