Wood That Deserves to Last
Today, most of the furniture in our homes is mass-produced and designed to be replaced quickly.
My goal is simple: to create Bespoak, a workshop in Geneva dedicated to furniture in noble woods — oak, maple, walnut, cherry, sipo — focused on quality, durability, and respect for the material. A place where we take the time to design, create, and pass on our knowledge.
Every piece of wood has value: offcuts become new objects, sawdust becomes energy, and nothing goes to waste. The wood is used in its entirety.
Trained in my father’s traditional joinery workshop in England, I combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to work with precision. Machines support the hand, but never replace it.
With your support, I can complete this workshop, acquire essential machinery, and launch the first Bespoak collections.
Supporting this project means supporting local, sustainable craftsmanship.
It’s choosing to produce less, but better.
A Proper Workshop for Beautiful Furniture That Lasts
A space designed to bring ideas and materials to life. Bright, practical, and large enough to work properly, my future workshop will be the place where each piece is carefully shaped.
At Bespoak, every creation is crafted from noble wood — oak, walnut, maple, cherry, sipo — to become durable, custom furniture designed to last. The workshop will be equipped to support manual work: machines for cutting and heavy tasks will handle repetitive jobs, leaving me free to focus on what matters most — the details that give each piece its character.
Each piece is unique. Dimensions, wood types, and details can naturally adapt to the space and its use. This isn’t a catalog you browse online: it’s a workshop you can interact with, where every project is born from the encounter between wood, space, and your ideas.
Every part of the wood has value: offcuts are reused to create small objects like cutting boards, and sawdust is turned into pellets for heating. Nothing is wasted, everything is used.
The workshop will finally have the space, tools, and materials needed to create the first pieces.
What We’ve Built So Far And How You Can Help
Between my personal investment and the support of friends and family, we have already raised CHF 52,000, dedicated to essential machines and quality materials to get started: high-end hand tools, saws, sanders, and a CNC (computer-controlled) machine.
Your support will help complete the final steps and turn the project into a fully operational workshop. It will be used to:
- Acquire the remaining machines needed to make work more efficient and less physically demanding,
- Stock the racks with high-quality solid wood — oak, maple, walnut, cherry, sipo,
- Complete the workshop setup: electrical work, dust extraction, proper lighting, and all the invisible but essential details,
- Give me the time and conditions necessary to set everything up properly, without rushing or compromising quality.
Every contribution is an investment in the first Bespoak creations. By participating, you become part of this project: the furniture and objects you support will be crafted with care and built to last.
