The problem

We know that as a dog owner in Lausanne, it can be tough to find reliable and attentive care for your four-legged furry friend. Whether you’re going on holiday or just working long hours at the office, the stress of arranging suitable care for your dog can feel overwhelming. And, let’s face it, most of us aren’t satisfied with our current options.

• Most establishments apply a ’one-size-fits-all’ approach to all dogs, whether you have a cuddly Chihuahua or an energetic Australian Shepherd.

• Bookings must be done months in advance and last minute bookings are almost impossible.

• There are barely any establishments in Lausanne, where over 18,000 dogs reside.

But don’t worry, the Woofy solution is on its way!

The Solution: Woofy

Woofy is the «home away from home» for dogs who need loving and attentive care while their owners travel and work without any worry.

💙 Your dog’s daily activities are tailored to their unique personality. Your dog likes to go on scavenger hunts but only on grass? You got it. They need cuddles every hour? Sure thing! They prefer to calmly nibble their food all day long? No problem, we’ll adapt.

🐾 The space has specially designed rooms for sensorial, physical and social stimulation. The bedrooms are clean and welcoming, so your dog feels warm and toasty like at home.

🧘🏻‍♀️ It’s all about flexibility and convenience for owners. Last minute slots are available every day and bookings can be managed online.

Woofy is all about the wellbeing and happiness of dogs. Dogs are a member of our families and deserve nothing but the best.

ℹ️ The location of Woofy is still a work in progress. But we didn’t want to make the dogs of Lausanne wait any longer! That’s why we will start with a temporary popup of 2 months in Q2/Q3 of 2024. This crowdfunding is to raise the funds for this popup, with the hope that the increased visibility of the project, thanks to this crowdfunding, will help us rapidly find the permanent location for Woofy!

If we find the permanent location tomorrow, then the funds raised through this crowdfunding will directly be invested in the permanent location, without a popup.

➡️ ABOUT ME & COGNAC

I have 10 years experience in marketing and sales in the corporate world. While building Woofy, I work at EPFL to help students create startup projects.

I am a certified FSIFP animal carer, accredited by the Swiss Federal Veterinary Office.

My dog Cognac is a 7 years old mixed breed. He was found on the streets and I adopted him from a shelter in Spain. He’s 70% sweetheart, 20% nervous and 10% grumpy, which makes him even more adorable to my eyes.

🫶🏼 How can you help?

With CHF 25,000, we will open a 2-month pop-up next year in the Lausanne region, just to get started! This amount will be invested in fitting out the space, including the various dog activity rooms, and purchasing various materials, such as dog beds and Karcher cleaning machines to maintain an excellent level of hygiene.

Any extra funds will get us closer to our bigger goal of raising CHF 150’000 for the permanent location of Woofy, with state-of-the-art facilities that are worthy of our dogs.
