What it means Votre Cercle de Vie ?

Votre Cercle de Vie (Your Circle of Life) is the story of a farming family from the Pays-d’Enhaut (Vaud) convinced that a viable future begins by anchoring humanity to its land and that agriculture is an umbilical cord between living beings and nature. Today, together with our team, we manage the biodynamic farm, two organic and bulk shops (in Château-d’Œx and Zweisimmen), a second-hand shop (Espace Durable), a naturopathic practice, two B&Bs, and the Esprit Ensemble Foundation.

Be part of the change

Over the past few years, more than 500 people have already been involved in the Votre Cercle de Vie project at all levels. Due to the complexity of the project and the funding required to complete all phases, we are now calling on the community to participate.

This appeal intends to cover the last part of the costs related to planning and the steps to obtain the building permit. It is an important step, and we need a helping hand!

The whole project represents a substantial amount and is going to be financed from several sources. The construction will take about 3 years and the inauguration is planned for the end of the year 2024.

IN ADDITION TO THE REWARDS:

• All participants will receive a discount of CHF 18.- per night at Votre Cercle de Vie guest room or B&B for 8 years (from the opening date)

• All participants will be able to pick up their seed packets, which symbolically represent seedlings for the future, in one of the Votre Cercle de Vie organic shops in spring 2022.

A very unique project in Switzerland!

Through this pioneering project in Château-d’Œx, we wish to contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable world and the deployment of the potential of each one of us in the different cycles of life. It is an alternative solution that promotes contact with nature.

12 YEARS OF REFLECTIONS

The project brings together the existing and new activities of Votre Cercle de Vie in the form of a competence centre. It proposes a solution for the development of agriculture in Switzerland and enables the creation of synergies between different areas of activity. These synergies concern the field of agriculture in the broadest sense: the farm, which is the basis of the project, is complemented by a reception infrastructure for raising public awareness of agricultural practices and environmental protection, supporting companies in their transition to sustainability, as well as health infrastructures that promote human well-being.

The different areas of the project also meet the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the UN. We intend to participate in their achievement on a personal, entrepreneurial and political level.

BOVINO» AND «PLANTO» BUILDINGS

«Bovino», will be the main building housing a stable and the necessary premises for food processing, a restaurant, guest rooms, and a natural wellness. The second building, «Planto», will house an organic shop, general and naturopathic practices, and lecture rooms. The proximity between animals, humans, and plants is essential to make the foundations of Votre Cercle de Vie’s philosophy possible and to implement it.

CRADLE TO CRADLE

A major theme of this project is to get as close as possible to the «cradle to cradle» model: from food to furniture, including energy, water and our waste, everything is recovered, transformed and reused.
