Avalon Quartet 2nd China Tour

In China, we will still be meeting a younger classical music audience in the large concert halls in 2025 than in Switzerland. During «pro bono» school visits on our last tour, the children soaked up our words and music like a sponge.

Cultural exchange as a private initiative

The Zurich Chamber Philharmonic promotes young professional musicians between a master’s degree and a career as a soloist, chamber or orchestral musician. Leading string players from our orchestra form the Foreign Ministry with the Avalon Quartet. We make ourselves and the orchestra known beyond Zurich in Basel, Gstaad and China. The special thing about our Swiss quartet is that we come from 4 countries on 2 continents.

Travel expenses Zurich-China for 4 musicians & 1 cello

The booked concerts are remunerated according to the local market price, but we hope for an additional contribution for the approx. 6000 to 7000.- travel costs Zurich-China and on site. In addition to the four musicians, the 125-year-old cello also needs a paid seat.
