This is what it's all about.
Today, the Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of mineral resources, but at the same time the poorest in terms of socio-economic development. My project aims to raise awareness of the choices and difficulties faced by the Congolese population to survive, protect themselves and, above all, reinforce their dignity.
For this collaboration, I am accompanied by Laura Reymond-Joubin, the film’s co-producer. Born and based in Switzerland, she has expertise in conflict resolution and in-depth knowledge of the Democratic Republic of Congo. A technical team of around 10 young Congolese men and women will also be assisting us in this adventure.
The short film is scheduled for release in April.
My project is special because ...
The film scene in the Democratic Republic of Congo is underdeveloped. Despite the lack of state support, it’s important to be able to showcase the creativity and work of Congolese filmmakers on an international level. My project will be produced in French and will appeal to both Congolese and international audiences.
This is what I need backing for.
Your support will enable me to develop and produce the film in the best possible conditions. In particular, it will enable me to provide transport and care for the actors, and to strengthen my team.
