About the project
DEBUSSY IN RESONANCE is an invitation to experience Nature through the universe of Debussy and the sounds of Asia, immersing the listener in an awakening of the senses, where music, imagination and the forces of Nature are all one.
DEBUSSY IN RESONANCE will be recorded live and in public on May 11th in the legendary music hall of La Chaux-de-Fonds thanks to the support of the RTS (Swiss Radio), Perspectives Musiques, Fondation Tempo and of course this crowdfunding.
Debussy reinvented the language of music, inspired by Nature and music from East Asia. Following in his footsteps, Joanna Goodale creates her own music blending the piano with gongs and singing bowls. The program will include her compositions and works by Debussy on the theme of water.

About Joanna Goodale
Joanna Goodale is a French-Swiss pianist of Anglo-Turkish origin, who distinguished herself through an eclectic and free career, by combining the classical repertoire with the sacred music of the East.
Born in Switzerland, her first concept-album «Bach in a Circle» brought together the works of Bach and her own arrangements of Sufi music (from Turkey and Iran). It was released in 2019 by Label Paraty with the support of the Tempo Foundation, the Engelberts Foundation, and private donors. She was noticed by the Radio Television Suisse (Espace 2) and broadcasted by France Musique, RFI, and RTS.
Deeply convinced that music can transcend borders and touch the sublime, she invites her audience to enter into communion with sound and silence in space-time of rare intensity.

3,000CHF - Filming & editing of a video clip of the recording (that will be shared everywhere!)
The cost of recording this album is offered by the RTS (Swiss Radio).
