The Design Biennale Zürich 2017
The Design Biennale Zurich presents design as a developing research science. The premier Design Biennale Zurich slogan is ’HELLO FUTURE’ and focuses on questions regarding the future such as: how will the factories of the future look, what can we design with active materials, what do we learn from the past, and what chances do experimental processes offer?
Besides all these and other questions, the Design Biennale offers elected and curated positions and programs in unique places such as, the Old Botanical Garden, Toni Areal with its art and design museum, Nationalmuseum, and SBB Repair & Trade Center. The visitor will experience an exciting stroll through the different quarters of Zurich, offered over the four days of the Biennale.
The Design Biennale Zürich focuses on participation and exchange instead of consumption and commerce.
How can you support?
Besides a lot of passion and joy, we do of course need money to finance the 2017 Biennale. With your contribution you can help to make the Zürich Biennale a successful event and to cover part of the costs which are needed for this event. Other than your contribution, we ask you to tell all the people you know about the Biennale, and to spread the word. This can help to make a statement that design is an important subject within the world of culture, art and science. After all, design makes the difference between humankind and apes!
Who are the visitors of the Design Biennale Zurich?
The Design Biennale Zurich invites not only professional designers from all disciplines, but also amateurs, adventurers and design lovers, as well as their families and friends.
What will we use your money for?
With your contribution you can help to build an unforgettable event which will become a permanent part of the cultural landscape of Zurich and other international cities. Your contributions are important and will be used for the printing of programs, scenography creation, transportation, and infrastructure installations.
