Indigenous Peoples help protect our environment, fight climate change, and build resilience to natural disasters, yet indigenous women are victims of discrimination, violence, extreme poverty, trafficking, illiteracy, lack of access to ancestral lands, and non-existent or poor health care. While Indigenous Peoples own, occupy, or use a quarter of the world’s surface area, they safeguard 80% of the world’s remaining biodiversity. Those in a position to help are not only helping these women, but the planet. Join this cause! :)
