Ensemble Ekeko's first CD
Ensemble Ekeko´s musikalische Reise beginnt zwischen Wien und Leipzig. Geprägt von vielfältigen musikalischen Wurzeln erschaffen die vier chilenischen Freunde eine faszinierende Mischung, deren künstlerisches und musikalisches Wesen aus der Art entsteht, wie Musik in Südamerika empfunden und gelebt wird.
Entre Viena y Leipzig comienza la aventura musical del Ensemble Ekeko. El acervo musical cosmopolita de estos cuatro amigos chilenos hace del grupo una mezcla fascinante, cuya esencia artística y musical se construye desde la forma en que se siente y vive la música al sur del mundo.
The journey of Ensemble Ekeko begins between Vienna and Leipzig. Shaped by diverse musical roots, these four Chilean friends create a fascinating blend, their artistic essence born from the way music is lived and experienced in Southamerica.
A musical journey
Unsere Musik schöpft aus den Rhythmen und Klängen Südamerikas. Sie ist geprägt von der traditionellen Musik unserer Heimat, von Weltmusik, Klassik und Jazz. Durch die eigenen Kompositionen und modernen Arrangements jedes Ensemblemitglieds entsteht ein vielschichtiger musikalischer Ausdruck. Zampoñas, Quenas, Charango, Ronroco, Tiple und Gitarre treffen auf Saxophon, Cello und Kontrabass – die Tradition der Anden im Dialog mit den vielfältigen musikalischen Einflüssen, die uns inspirieren.
Nuestra música está inspirada en los ritmos y sonoridades de Sudamérica. Son una influencia en nuestro repertorio la música tradicional de nuestro continente, músicas del mundo, como también la clásica y el jazz. Arreglos modernos y composiciones originales escritos por cada uno de los miembros del Ensamble invitan a un viaje sonoro. Zampoñas, quenas, charango, ronroco, tiple y guitarra se entrelazan junto al saxofón, cello y contrabajo. La tradición andina en diálogo con las diferentes influencias musicales que nos inspiran.
Our music draws inspiration from the rhythms and sounds of South America. It is shaped by the traditional music of our continent, as well as by world music, classical, and jazz. Modern arrangements and original compositions written by each member of the ensemble invite the listener on a journey through sound. Zampoñas, quenas, charango, ronroco, tiple, and guitar merge with saxophone, cello, and double bass – the tradition of the Andes in dialogue with the many influences that inspire us.
